i was hangin out with this ocean yall
and i was like
hey ocean
you are so big and blue
and beautiful
and you carry so much life
underneath your currenty waters
you have dolphins
and coralfish
is that a real fish
i think so

one time my cousin told me
this story about how this guy
who fished for lobster
took his boat out and there was the biggest lobster he ever saw
it was like three hundred years old
and it spoke to him
and told him to throw him back into the sea
because he was a magical lobster
and the oldest in the great big blue awesome ocean

oh dear ocean of which i really know nothing
your heart is our heart
you fill the earth with your mysteries
and a lot of you is essential to our survival
as human beings
without you we would be nothing
another lifeless planet drifting
through the milkyway galaxy
but you are here
solid and willing
and offering your beautiful gifts
for us all to enjoy
